\"\"<\/a>Winter Sports<\/strong>
\nSituated above St Jean D\u2019Aulps village, St Jean D\u2019Aulps station is part of Les Portes du Soleil, (\u2018the gates of the sun\u2019), a large region of 14 linked ski resorts between Lake Geneva in Switzerland and Mont Blanc – the largest ski area in the world, covering 14 valleys and offering a colossal 650 kms of pistes.<\/p>\n

The local ski area is called \u2018Domaine Roc d\u2019Enfer<\/a>\u2019 and consists of a total of 21 slopes between St Jean d’Aulps and Bellevaux suitable for beginners through to expert skiers. The link between these 2 resorts is called the Roc d’Enfer circuit. \u00a0This circuit of 20 kms offers magnificent views and unspoilt skiing. The pistes offer a good variety of varied skiing and in particular large areas of skiable off piste terrain. This tends to remain unskied days after the larger resorts are tracked out. \u00a0As part of the Portes du Soleil<\/a>, access to other ski areas is a short distance away.\u00a0 Morzine is a 10 minute drive and Les Gets 20 minutes.\u00a0 Probably the best access to the whole area is via Ardent \u2013 a 15 minute drive. A local courtesy coach also links the local ski areas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In addition to Alpine skiing, other winter sports include: skating, tobogganing, under-ice diving, snowshoe trekking, cross country skiing, Husky sledging, Ski-Jo\u00ebring, etc.
\nWinter in the Portes du Soleis is home to many other amusements. There is ice hockey in Morzine, local markets, cinema, 10 pin bowling and many music and art events. The swimming pool in Morzine is open all year round. Rock The Pistes<\/a> showcases some great rock bands \u2013 performing on the ski slopes.

\nBalad’Aulps Bus : shuttle between Saint Jean d’Aulps Village and the other ski resorts of the Portes du Soleil.<\/p>\n
